Last December, I met Na Mihyun in a cute cafe near Anguk Station (that’s why you can see Chritsmas decorations all over the place!). Minhyun is the person behind the designs of Blue Dot and Stripe brand. She’s been working on it for over a year, and also, a couple of months ago, she started an art project called Maison d’Art, with the Spanish photographer Daniel Huete.
What I found most interesting about her interview is that she loves to travel but doesn’t like living in her favorites places. After spending some time in the romantic Paris, she started to discover things that she didn’t like about the french city. I agree, a city is magical for a week, but you’ll see more of its flaws the longer you stays. The main point is if you want or can handle those flaws. I think it’s a very interesting thought.
What do you do?
I’m fashion designer in Seoul and direct the project of Maison d’Art.
What do you aim for?
I just want to do very creative projects through M’A. And I encourage the young artistis’s work by making a fund.
Disadvantages and difficulties in your profession
Promoting what I’m doing now and finding good people who can work with me!
Who or what inspires you?
Andy Warhol and his working place “Warhol Factory”.
Why are you in Seoul?
Cuz I was born in here and I wouln’t live without my friends.

Making a collection of my brand and doing some collaboration projects with musicians and photographers.
